December 15th, Christmas concert in the church in Vihanti, with a remarkable surprise, after the performance Jane was reunited with two of her former choir members from about 28 years ago.
December 15th, the prize duo Jaamarit performed newer music for kantele at Haapavesi educational center.
December 15th, Lani Thompson's new 5-string kantele book arrived from the U.S.with a picture of the pike's jawbone kantele made by Martti Pokela on the cover, taken by Jane. The kantele pictured is part of the Pokela-collection which is scattered about Haapavesi, this kantele can be found in the lobby of the city hall. Lani found it on this website. Lani Thompson's book includes her arrangement of the Haapavesi kantele piece, Karhunpeijaispolska, also taught on this site.
December 14th, the Haapavesi Rotary published their calendar for 2007, with pictures of several former and present kantele groups

November 19th, the director of 3RK, Jane Ilmola, was re-elected to the board of Kanteleliitto. Mariia Huikari of Ylivieska is midst her two year term on the board. The only change was the replacement of Ritva Koistinen by Matti Kontio.
